Lyallpur Eye Trust is a non-profit organization based in Faisalabad, Pakistan with a mission to eliminate corneal blindness in the country. We strive to raise awareness about the importance of corneal donation and transplantation and encourage people to become donors. Our goal is to provide access to quality eye care for all corneal blind individuals regardless of their socio-economic status or geographic location.
We understand that corneal blindness is a major public health issue in Pakistan with many people suffering from this condition due to lack of awareness, inadequate resources, and limited access to pertinent medical facilities. This is where our organization comes in – we have a dedicated team of volunteers who remain engaged in persuading the people to donate corneas, to retrieve corneas from donors and to transplant corneas in needy corneal blind patients to restore their vision. With their help, we have been able to change the lives of countless individuals who were previously blind and have improved their quality of life.
At the heart of our mission is our belief that every individual has the right to see the world around. We are committed to continuing our work until every person in Pakistan has access to quality eye care and the opportunity to live a life without the burden of corneal blindness. We also recognize the importance of spreading awareness about the moral status of organ donation in Islam and we encourage people from all walks of life to consider donating their corneas to help those in need.
In pursuit of our mission, we collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including healthcare providers, policymakers, and community-based organizations. We leverage technology, social media, and traditional outreach methods to engage with individuals and communities across Pakistan and beyond to achieve our goal.
Join us in our mission to eliminate corneal blindness in Pakistan, save sight, and restore happiness. Together we can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.
